International acclaim for our wines from the Breedekloof and Cape Agulhas wine regions at the IWC 2023
The International Wine Challenge is known for their rigorous judging process, ensuring only the best wines are awarded medals. In their 39th year, our Quest Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2022 is awarded with 95 points (Gold Medal) and Land's End Cape Agulhas Syrah 2020 with 94 points (Silver Medal).
Each IWC medal-winning wine is judged in a "blind" wine tasting and is judged for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. The Breedekloof Chenin Blanc and Cape Agulhas Syrah were the two wines in our portfolio that were awarded top accolades for best representing distinctive qualities from their respective wine regions. Wines are tasted on at least three separate occasions by a minimum of 2 panels of IWC judges tasting together and then by 2 Co-Chairs to verify the panel results.
In 2022, our Land's End Cape Agulhas Sauvignon Blanc 2021 was awarded the IWC South African Sauvignon Blanc Trophy, which is not only a prestigious award in a very competitive category, but also wonderful exposure for South Africa's youngest wine route, the Agulhas Wine Triangle.
